Build Team

The build team is an integral part of making sure the event is physically set up. Being a part of the build team will give you access to a discounted ticket, and requires additional time commitments before and after the event.

Build has a range of requirements for different ability levels.

Discounts are as follows:

  • Set up build team: $85 ticket credit per day.

  • Stand by build: $85 ticket credit for being on standby for the whole event.

  • Closing team: $85 credit per day.

  • Meals provided on the days you are scheduled.

Conditions on the credit:

  • Non transferable

  • Valid for the year during which the days are worked.

Build Team is broken down into three key responsibilities during DrachenFest:

  • Build Team

    - Taking DFAU props, sets, tents and other event items out of storage

    - Setting up the city gate, fences, and lantern posts

    - Setting up the Dragon Circle (Great Ritual Circle)

    - Setting up the camp gates and palisades

  • Stand-By Team

    - Monitor DFAU tents and sets through the event

    - Maintain and make adjustments to DFAU tents and sets as may be required through the event

    - Repair DFAU tents and sets as may be required through the event

  • Closing Team

    - Collect - DFAU props, sets, tents and other event items

    - Disassembling City infrastructure

    - Packing down and storing the Great Ritual Circle

    - Packing down and storing the camp gates and palisades for the first 2 years
